Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the tournament format?
The EGL Open Series weekly tournaments will be a 5v5, Single Elimination, Escalation tournament. Each round will be played as a Best of 1 until the Semi Finals and Finals which will be a Best of 3.
2. Why have sign ups closed at 12pm when the tournament starts at 5pm?
We will be closing the sign ups at 12pm each week to allow staff time to calculate each teams EGL Point total, so we can then seed each team accurately in line with the EGL Points Leaderboard.
3. How do I claim my prize?
We will email users regarding prizing after the tournament has ended, once we have acquired your payment details the prize payments will be paid as soon as possible.
4. Where will the tournaments be held?
All of the EGL Open Series tournaments and quarterlies will be held online, so you will play from the comfort of your home or wherever you choose to play on the day.
5. Can I have a substitute player on the day of the tournament?
No. The team members that are registered on the roster to play within the tournament must be the users that are playing in the tournament.
6. If I leave my team to play with another team do I keep my EGL Points?
Yes you will. Points are awarded to each individual player, so if you leave a team or join a new one your points will carry over to that new team. However there will be a 2 week cooling off period to avoid teams from abusing the system, meaning if you leave a team to join a new one, your points will not be added to the teams total until 2 weeks have passed.
