Our Story
EGL, Esports Gaming League, founded in 2009 in the early days of the esports industry spawned from an idea to create open esports competitions for grassroots players to compete against the best in the world. EGL has since helped to shape the esports industry into a fast-growing phenomenon and one of the most exciting spectacles to watch and play.
We’re creating a network where you can have it all; compete in tournaments matched to your skill-level, watch the best battle online or live stream new esports shows, compete for your favourite titles on your favoured platforms, join an ever-growing community of gamers and connect with your favourite brands and sports teams in esports for the first time.
